(Jacksonville, FL) – Drummond announces the next phase of its expansion plans with the acquisition of Atlanta based Graphic Communications Corporation (GCC). This move broadens Drummond’s products and services, which will now also include wide format printing, packaging and improved logistics. In addition, GCC customers will benefit from the proprietary products and technology that has made Drummond a leader in print solutions. The move increases Drummond’s annual revenue by over 35% and marks one of the largest acquisitions in history by a North Florida print provider.
GCC is a 40-year-old commercial printer serving vertical markets such as packaged goods, convenience stores, and hospitality and retail outlets. Their reputation for quality and a strong management team has earned them industry acclaim as winners of the prestigious Print Excellence Awards and former owner Hoyt Tuggle being presented the 2011 Ben Franklin Award by the Printing Association of Georgia.
“Our strategy calls for the acquisition in major markets of firms that supplement their existing product and service lines, while introducing Lean practices across the organization that lead to substantial operational savings,” John Falconetti, president of Drummond said of the expansion. “Our goal is to build a network of manufacturing plants that are able to provide superior service to vertical markets that are dependent on shorter delivery times and reduced logistical costs. This ‘one-stop shopping’ network of print solution plants will be able to deploy proprietary software that will also create savings to their clients through lower procurement costs.”
Drummond, was founded in Jacksonville during 1939, and at their core remain a printer that has evolved by combining traditional printing with new and emerging technologies such as digital storefronts, email marketing and PURLs.  By utilizing their in-house expertise in these fields, they offer their clients proven solutions aimed at increasing their revenue while often times reducing their associated costs.
