John Falconetti, President
John Falconetti is a native of Jacksonville, FL and received a BA from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He became the President of The Drummond Press in 2005, after working with the company since 1989. Mr. Falconetti is the third generation to run this Family business, and grew up working the summers in most every department throughout the operation. This experience and the fiscally conservative business practices that were first introduced by his grandparents have helped define his management philosophy today.
He has been named an Ultimate CEO by the Jacksonville Business Journal, the outstanding volunteer of the year by the American Red Cross of Northeast Florida and The Distinguished Young Alumnus of the Year by his college alma matter. He has been appointed by the past three Florida Governors’ to serve our community and state as a Board Member of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Enterprise Florida and currently on the Jacksonville Port Authority. He is a past Chairman of the Duval County Republican Party, Jacksonville Library Board of Trustees and a past member of the National Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Jacksonville Symphony, The University of the South and Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Falconetti was elected a delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention. He was also chosen as one of two persons to represent the State of Florida on the Republican National Committee’s 2008 Platform Committee. He is an alumnus of Leadership Jacksonville, Leadership Florida, and a member of The Downtown Rotary Club. He is an active member and the Senior Warden of St John’s Episcopal Cathedral.
Mr. Falconetti is married to Shannon Miller, a 7-time Olympic Medalist and America’s most decorated gymnast. Together they founded the Shannon Miller Foundation with a mission to bring greater awareness and education to the epidemic of Childhood Obesity. Their flagship event, the Shannon Miller Kid’s Marathon held its inaugural event in 2009 with over 600 registrants. Since then this annual event has grown into several thousand participants allowing the proceeds to fund an in school running program that serves over 7,000 Duval County Public School students a year.
They have a son, Rocco and spend their free time participating in community service activities. He also enjoys pursuing his hobbies of flying and cycling.
